Board of Directors

Centennial Infant and Child Centre is a non-profit corporation run by a Board of Directors. The Board consists of individuals from the community.

Individuals are elected by members of the Centennial community and serve an annual term, renewable for up to six consecutive terms.

The Board meets approximately ten times a year to make decisions and provide direction to the operation of the Centre. The Board is representative of the various groups involved with Centennial and supports the philosophy that makes Centennial unique.

Jennifer Watson, P.Eng., MBA (Accredited with Professional Engineers Ontario)
Past-Chair
Jen Watson is an Associate at Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. As a structural engineer, Jen works on projects across Southern Ontario ranging from hospitals to schools to community centres. She holds degrees from Queen's University in Civil Engineering (BSc.) and Business (MBA). Jen first became involved at Centennial as an integrated preschool student. Later, she volunteered and now she sits on both the Centre and Foundation boards.

Karen Damley, CPA, CA
Chair

Karen is a seasoned executive with broad experience in the Canadian and U.S. markets. She is a proven leader with demonstrated ability to launch innovative initiatives which deliver substantial business results. Her specialties include: business strategy, customer relationship management, marketing, analytics, customer strategy, finance, treasury including securitizations, general management, wealth management, banking and financial literacy.

Deborah Starkman - Treasurer
Deb is a chartered accountant and has a designation of Chartered Financial Analyst. She is Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of GMP Securities.

Julie Wildgoose - Director
Julie is a retired teacher with expertise in the areas of Special Education, Music and French. She has worked with children with special needs for over 30 years. Julie volunteers one morning a week at the Centre.

Rachel Beatty, OCT
Rachel Beatty is a Kindergarten teacher with the Toronto District School Board.  Rachel holds a degree in English Literature and a degree in Education, both from Queen’s University.  Rachel is married and has three daughters.  She became involved with Centennial Infant and Child Centre when her twins attended preschool at the Centre for 2 years.

Sneha Bhat, CPA, CA
Sneha Bhat is a Chartered Professional Accountant at Onex Corporation. Prior to joining Onex, Sneha was a Senior Accountant at Koster, Spinks & Koster LLP. She holds a BSc in Biotechnology/Chartered Accountancy and a Masters in Accounting from the University of Waterloo.

Lisa Kennedy, CHRP-Secretary
Lisa is a Human Resources professional with post-graduate education and experience in the field, designated through the Human Resources Professional Association. She is currently employed as a Human Resources Consultant at KPMG


Mike Moyer- CPA, CA. Vice President Finance. Wittington Investments, Limited Chair
Centennial Infant and Child Centre Foundation Board
Mike Moyer has been associated with Centennial for over 20 years and was a founding member of the Centennial Infant and Child Centre Foundation in 1996.  Prior to joining Wittington, he spent ten years in public accounting with the international firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Chartered Accountants and eight years with a national mortgage lending institution.  Mike is married with three grown sons and lives in Toronto
